How to Export Your Grok Conversations from X

What is Grok?

Grok is xAI's AI assistant, integrated into X (formerly Twitter). If you're an X Premium subscriber, you may have accumulated conversations with Grok-2 or Grok-3 that you want to keep, search through, or analyze.

Step-by-Step: Export from Grok

Step 1: Open X Settings

Go to x.com and log in. Click on “More” in the sidebar, then “Settings and Support”, then “Settings and privacy”.

Step 2: Navigate to Your Data

In Settings, go to “Your Account” > “Download an archive of your data”. You may need to verify your identity first.

Step 3: Request Your Data

Click “Request archive”. X will prepare your data export, which includes your Grok conversations along with other account data.

Step 4: Download the Export

Once ready (this can take 24-48 hours), you'll receive a notification. Return to the same settings page to download the archive. The Grok conversation data will be in JSON format within the archive.

Alternative: Direct Grok Export

Depending on your X app version, you may also be able to export Grok conversations directly:

• Open Grok in X
• Tap the settings/menu icon in the Grok interface
• Look for “Export conversations” or “Download data”
• Download the JSON file
