Our Core Principle
Chat Receipts is built on a simple principle: your data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to your conversation data. Period.
Data Processing
All conversation parsing, search, analysis, and AI processing happens entirely on your device:
- iOS App: Files are processed on your iPhone/iPad. Current AI features are local preview experiences that run on-device and are clearly labeled in the app.
- Web Tool: Files are parsed in your browser using JavaScript. No data is sent to any server.
What We Don't Collect
- Your conversation content
- Your AI chat history
- Your export files
- Search queries within the app
- AI-generated summaries or tags
- Usage analytics or telemetry
- Personal information
- Device identifiers
No Tracking
We do not use cookies, analytics services, or tracking pixels. The web tool has no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude. The iOS app has no Firebase Analytics, no Crashlytics.
No Servers
Chat Receipts does not have backend servers that process your data. The website is a static site. The iOS app is a self-contained native application. There are no APIs that receive your conversation data.
Third-Party Services
The iOS app may use Apple's App Store infrastructure for distribution and in-app purchases. Apple's own privacy policies apply to those services. We do not share any user data with third parties.
Data Deletion
Since we don't store your data, there is nothing to delete from our end. To remove data from your device, simply delete the app or clear your browser data.
Children's Privacy
Chat Receipts is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Our core principle will never change: your data stays on your device.
